Brief historical information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Congo were established on March 19, 2018. On February 7, 2023, David Maduka presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as Ambassador of the Republic of Congo to the Republic of Azerbaijan, with residence in Moscow. By Order No. 75 dated April 3, 2024, signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, Sultan Hajiyev was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Congo, with residence in Nairobi.
