Brief historical information
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kenya were established on May 28, 2004. The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Kenya was established by the law dated November 18, 2022, signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev. On May 23, 2023, Sultan Hajiyev was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Kenya.
